Sanibel, FL (May 4, 2015) – The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting to welcome the Guardian Ad Litem Foundation as a new member. The event was hosted at SS Hookers Restaurant on Punta Rassa on April 29th.

Guardian Ad Litem Foundation (GAL) is a non-profit agency supporting Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program – working to provide a better life for neglected children throughout Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the wonderful business community on Sanibel and Captiva and we are looking forward to building future relationships to help us with our mission,” said Guardian Ad Litem President Kathleen Davey. “We are particularly interested in recruiting more volunteers as well as finding donors to raise funds to help the growing number of Southwest Florida children in need ” concluded Davey.

Ric Base, President of the Chamber of Commerce added, “The Chamber welcomes the Guardian Ad Litem Foundation to our islands and looks forward to introducing them to members and potential supporters at Chamber events over the coming months”.
